As a leadership and management training company, FranklinCovey ships materials to distributors and consumers around the globe. For their 7 Habits of Highly Effective People program this year, FranklinCovey has a goal to register 550 new client partners who are licensed to sell and train the 7 Habits program.

FranklinCovey turned to our print and marketing consulting team to help them devise an affordable way to get large event signage and other materials to events around the globe. Shipping and assembling oversized signage and large materials to representatives at each training location can be expensive and precarious, so we went to work to provide FranklinCovey with a better solution that could be shipped cost effectively and easily handled once it arrived, and help make their campaign successful.

Challenges

FranklinCovey determined early-on that reducing or cutting back on the size of signage and amount of materials wasn’t going to work. The FranklinCovey reps needed all the planned materials to execute their 7 Habits signature workshops.

Cutting down displays into several pieces for on-site assembly created a number of challenges, so that option was out. In some cases, shipping 4’ x 8’ signs wasn’t even feasible.

Looking at a minimum of $150 in shipping fees for each event, Alexander’s print consultants knew they needed to help reduce costs without cutting down on deliverables or material quality.

Solutions

After some research and brainstorming, Alexander’s created a collapsible, 8-foot display to accompany other signage and event training materials in one handy package.

Using our state-of-the-art flatbed printer and iCut machine, we created foldable, 4’x8’ foamcore signs with an easily-attachable easel.

The large signs only require unfolding and attaching to a coroplast easel so they stand upright.

The tall signs and other event signage ship in a smaller, much more affordable package. Not only is the package less expensive to ship, but the folding signage is small enough to fit inside a regular size trunk for ground transportation once the package is in possession of the FranklinCovey 7 Habits trainer.

Now, FranklinCovey trainers can have all signage set up in a matter of minutes without having to worry about over-complicated assembly, or astronomical shipping costs.

If you’ve got a similar print or logistics challenge, we hope you’ll reach out and put us to the test. We love coming up with creative signage solutions that are, to quote FranklinCovey training, a win-win for everyone.
