We can’t always do what we absolutely love for a living. But that doesn’t mean we have to give up our passion for what we really love.

Lee H. Van Dam took an opportunity to pursue his passion by writing a book about something he truly loved: taking cruises. He and his wife traveled often, and cruising was one of their favorite means of relaxing while seeing the world.

With the help of Alexander’s, he was able to use his experience to make a book—which is aptly called: Cruising—A view through the porthole.

Alexander’s took care of the book production, its printing and binding. As Lee requested, the book cover features a circle die-cut that goes along with the tagline “A view through the porthole.” We then paired the paper-back style with a perfect binding to give it just the right size and shape.

The book answers essential question any cruiser would have, such as:

“Can you water ski behind a cruise ship?”
“How do you parallel park a cruise ship?”, and
“Was the wedding by Captain Hector Barbossa valid for Will and Elizabeth in Pirates of the Caribbean?”

After reading those questions, we all want the answers, right?

His fun and humorous book is great entertainment, but is also full of other useful, practical information for anyone considering a cruise.

Lee now has a supply of books that he can sell in his own way and on his own timetable, a benefit that any hobbyist who works a day job would love to have. Learn more about Lee H. Van Dam and his Cruising book here.
