When Jodi Maxfield, BYU Spirit Squad Coordinator went to her Cougar Club representative looking for a qualified print company to help print their 2014 Spirit Squad calendar her rep immediately recommended Alexander’s.

As a Utah county printing company in close proximity to Brigham Young University, Alexander’s has worked with many different BYU departments on various print projects throughout the years. We were happy to team up with the Cougars again.

Every year The BYU Spirit Squad sends both the Cougarettes and the Cheer Squad to national competitions for cheer and dance. For each cheerleader or dancer, the trip costs roughly $1,200 — a sum of money they work to raise all year long.

Jodi had seen other universities across the nation produce calendars as part of their fundraising efforts, and she felt that BYU Spirit Squad calendars could provide value to buyers, and help cheerleaders and dancers have a successful year of fundraising.

When Alexander’s heard about the fundraising efforts, they offered to contribute a large portion of the printing costs, making it financially possible for the Spirit Squad to produce and sell the calendars. So far, the fundraising has been successful. The squad members sold the first ever BYU Spirit Squad calendars through the end of January, and continue to raise funds to send the Cougarettes to the Nationals competition in April.

“I’ve seen a lot fundraising calendars,” said Jodi Maxfield “On our first calendar everything from the quality of the paper to the clarity of the printed images was the best I’ve ever seen. We’re so pleased with the work Alexander’s did and for their support of our fundraising efforts.”
