National social media speaker, Pete Codella, will lead the Aug. 1, 2014 virtual event discussing Google tools to help marketers
The Utah Technology Council will hold its first virtual public relations and communications forum on August 1, 2014 at noon via Google Hangout. The event is one of many peer-to-peer forums held by UTC and aims to teach attendees about the new Google My Business dashboard, as well as 14 other useful Google tools for business.
Digital communications professionals can expect to learn how to maximize their online brand presence and leverage Google resources, including:

“We’re excited to utilize Google’s online Hangout tool to hold our next communications forum,” said Richard R. Nelson, president and CEO of the Utah Technology Council. “We’re confident that the content and structure of this virtual forum will help communications professionals improve their digital PR and marketing skills.”
The Google Hangout Forum will be held on August 1, 2014 from noon to 1:00 p.m. Those interested in participating will need a Gmail account, along with Google Hangout installed on their computers. Following the 40-minute presentation, participants are encouraged to share their own Google experiences and submit questions to be addressed by Pete Codella and/or other participants.
