print project

Print projects are what keeps Alexander’s growing every year. Now, it’s time to celebrate. Before we head into 2015 we’ve created a compilation of the best of the best from 2014. Unfortunately, we can’t get pictures or showcase EVERY print project we produce, so these are the very best highlighted on our blog. Enough talk, let’s start with number 10!

10. BYU Car Wrap

BYU car wrap

Rise and shout, the Cosmobile is out! This was quite the undertaking, but we’ve been working for Brigham Young University for so long how could we say no? Pro Audio souped up the sound while Larry H. Miller gave the van a real punch to the guts. Now, this thing cruises around Provo with style thanks to Alexander’s expert car wraps. Whatever size truck, boat, car, whatever, we can wrap it. Your ride needs a face lift? Talk to us!

9. Franklin Covey

FranklinCovey 7 Habits training in Spanish

When it comes to Franklin Covey, let’s just say, we’re buds. Fulfillment as well as wide format is constantly creating quality product for this innovative business. It doesn’t stop at collateral, we even create trade show walls or backdrops that are easy to set up and light enough to carry. Kelly Thompson, our main sales rep for Franklin Covey, created an original design that takes minutes to set up that blows away the competition. It’s in our best interest for our clients to avoid shipping and receiving fee’s at trade shows, so we stuck it to the man and created a booth-in-a-box that is really changing the industry.

8. Wood Prints

Combining the beauty of a great print project and a little bit of wood, here’s what you get. These amazing designs are printed right on to a solid substrate that can then be cut with our i-cut machine. We’ve cut out text, shapes, just about anything that is under 2 inches in thickness. Think about the home decor possibilities! These awesome pieces would pick up any business or home’s holiday game.

7. Life size cut-outs

life size cutouts

Whether it’s Jay-Z or a missionary, we can create life size cut-outs that will surely be the life of the party. They look so real, you might catch yourself saying, “Why are those guys still posing?”. And believe us, these don’t look like blown up pictures, they are high-quality prints that are promised to amaze.

6. Trade-show Booth

booth-in-a-box

This was all shipped in a box… In a box! Trade-show booths are all about grabbing another penny from every admission, but this way, you can just carry the booth right onto the floor yourself! And it’s big, really big. They are a great price and we’ve heard nothing but great feedback. And wouldn’t you know it, there’s even a little storage space in the box on the right. Cool, huh.

5. Glowing Centerpieces

You could get a tacky centerpiece OR have a laser-cut skyline of downtown Salt Lake City creating a silhouette in front of beautiful hues of blue orange and yellow sitting in the middle of your table. This was the main print project for the Utah Technology Council’s annual event and boy did they really shine. Here’s a close up of that beautiful skyline.

4. Alexander’s Virtual Tour

Take a tour of Alexander's

Ok, it’s not exactly a print project, but it was still a killer project to show off our print facility, so it works! Now, whenever you find Alexander’s on Google maps, you can also fly right in through the doors and explore all the machines, production lines, and even our employee’s messy desks. We have nothing to hide.

3. MyCanvas

MyCanvas by Alexander's

We’ve been printing books, posters, family trees and calendars for MyCanvas for years. Ancestry.com has a feature where you can print the family history projects you are working on into precious keepsakes, and now Alexander’s is taking over. They will still offer that feature at Ancestry.com, which is great for everyone that was already familiar with the product, but we’re planning for big things in 2015 with MyCanvas, stay tuned!

2. Hire-Vue Viewfinder Discs

print and fulfillment

Hire-vue is a company that focuses on the relationship between employers and future employees. This cool print project was given out to everyone at a trade-show so that they would come to their booth to use the viewfinder to look at the pictures. Brilliant! This is a great example of print and fulfillment. We printed everything in house, acquired the other pieces needed, then assembled it all and shipped it to the customer. Bam!

1. The Divvy Truck

Divvy truck

And the winner is… The Divvy truck! This is a sneak peak of our marketing campaign that has blown us away with it’s success. We can’t give away all the details, but we will be announcing very soon just how the Divvy Pizza Campaign came to be. We wanted to show business’ from all over the country what Divvy by Alexander’s can do for their marketing/advertising/print needs. It was a hit.
