To streamline the printing process, help us help you by providing the following:

Specs

Specs is short for specifications, such as:

• Quantity – How many of your product will you need?
• Colors – Are you printing in full color or black and white? Do you need spot colors for logo names and brands? When possible, avoid using spot colors on rush printing jobs, as it may take additional time for us to obtain the unique color.
• Finish Size – Will you need a 6 X 8 paper back book, or a 5 X 6? Are you creating an 8 X 12 poster, or a 16 X 18?
• Single or Double sided – Are you handing out two different fliers, or a reversible flier?
• Paper Preference – We have a variety of substrates to print on, including wood, metal, and plastic, as well as different types and weights of paper. Research in advance what material you’ll need. Don’t worry, if you’re not certain, we’ll advise you on the substrate that’s best for your product.
• Binding or Folding – Do you need to bind your book? Learn what types are available, and which will work best for your product. Do you need a flier or pamphlet folded for your event? Let us know early on in the process.

Provide us with as much detail as you can about your project. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers. Alexander’s Print Advantage also provides print advisory. Return Proofs Quickly

When we send you a proof, the quicker we get it back, the quicker we can move forward with your project. This means, once you get your proof, review it for spelling errors, color inconsistencies, folding/binding flaws, or basically any inconsistency with the specs we were given. Once you get these details back to us, we can turn your project to you quickly. Our number one goal is to get your project back to you on-time and looking great.

Delivery Instructions

Here at Alexander’s, we not only provide printing, we provide fulfillment. This means we’ll ship your product to its final destination. When providing us with delivery instructions, again, be as specific as possible. In general, printing jobs are slowed down when the printer has to pause their process, contact you, and fill in missing information that we can’t create the product without.
