At Alexander’s we use the latest print technology, but print itself is nothing new. The methods have changed significantly over the past 2,000 years, but new and ancient print practices all have one thing in common: ink.
Ink does not get enough credit
In our opinion, the importance of ink is usually overshadowed by the excitement of print technology. New technology usually gets all the glory, but we never forget that ink makes print possible.
If you think about it, ink is more than just words and pictures; it’s what has sustained human history for the past two millennium. Its history is as fascinating as our own; it is the reason we do what we do at Alexander’s. We, for one, are grateful for all of the things it has made possible.
